A L I E N 'The Fourth Stage'

A concept for why the alien has such a large head. . . based on the early script by Dan O'Bannon where the alien was eating brains to absorb knowledge. The end of the film all passengers are dead and the alien signals for rescue using the captain's voice. It was deemed to dark an ending. Here I sketched the next stage of the alien's evolution gestating inside its head ready to be a 'Brain Buster'. Anyone who has seen 'Shin Godzilla' will get the concept. ;) I think this would then become a doppelganger truly able to mimic the host ... a la Giger's other work, 'Species'. www.instagram.com/aopaul_art
